BENCHMARK's motive for tackling the difficult ISO standardization process involves more than seeking a coveted stamp of approval. We recognize the value of what the ISO offers and the importance of its intent. Its goal is to standardize performance, to establish consistency, and to build corporations that can provide products and services consumers can count on.
The standards published by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in Geneva, Switzerland define minimum requirements for quality systems implementation.
The standards were created in 1987 to clarify an incredible maze of conflicting international quality definitions. The standards are the same the world over and define the international model for quality assurance in product design and development, production, quality control, ordering, customer service, and delivery.
For BENCHMARK, and other companies that dare seek certification, the standards measure every facet of operations. Compliance with the ISO standards demonstrates a company's commitment to quality and provides that the company has met the highest international standards.
BENCHMARK was one of the first US suppliers to obtain the ISO-9002 registrationfor its manufacturing process. Since 1995, BENCHMARK has maintained and strengthened its registration process.
ISO certification is only for the fittest. Few companies have been honored with certification, and certainly no company may say it is ISO registered unless it has the formal stamp of approval from the accredited international examing body.
